If you're like me, one of your absolute favourite meals is a homestyle brunch served up with hot cup of coffee! It's a perfect way to embrace the weekend.
There's certainly something to be said for doing one thing and doing it really well, which is likely the reason that Hollandaise Diner has become a successful family-run business and a favourite in the East Danforth community! Just ask BlogTO, who rank them amongst the top 10 purveyors of The Best Eggs Benedict In Toronto!

This diner gets rave reviews! The Croque Madam bursts with flavour, and it's elevated by the grilled sourdough. I discovered that Hollandaise continually rotates new delicious twists on the classic eggs benny, which most recently included the "Gobble Till You Wobble (apple, roasted turkey and gravy) and the "What's Up Butternut?" (roasted butternut squash base with brown butter asparagus)! Yum!
Having just 24 seats, this is quintessentially warm and welcoming. The owners, Josh & Marisa, are creative brunch enthusiasts, who have not only curated one of the tastiest breakfast menus in the city, but they are dedicated to actively serving Danforth East. For example, when building their friendly team, they like to hire from the community, and they ensure as many ingredients as possible are locally sourced. This includes bread from Celena’s Bakery, teas from Pluck Teas, and smoked salmon from The Smoke Bloke! Even the admired art work that adorns the walls are by local artists (and often offered for sale!)
Count on the food being scrumptious - including vegan options - the atmosphere cozy and the service engaging - perfect on a crisp autumn morning. Hollandaise Diner is definitely one of my new go-to brunch spots!!

Can you imagine how satisfying it would be to have one of the city's best breakfast restaurants right in your own 'hood, just a short Sunday morning stroll away?! For the lucky new owner of Classic Character On Keystone Avenue Near Danforth And Woodbine - that imagining has become a reality! In fact, the long time residents of that 4bed Edwardian dwelling - now SOLD - have a storied past and connection with Hollandaise, having owned the storefront for 30 years back when it was Kaneko Cigar. Fondly known as Sam & Dusty, the Kanekos were friends and active memebers of the community for decades, and their children happily carry those memories with them as they pass 48 Keystone on to a new family!
